Why does the natural shampoo not lather?

Our shampoo doesn't lather because it's sulfate-free. Nevertheless, a small amount is enough for gentle scalp cleansing. Sulfate-free shampoos are particularly mild and good for sensitive scalps. They are also more environmentally friendly, as sulfates are harder to break down and have a greater impact on the environment.
